Location: Edinburgh (90% Onsite at 2 Crewe Road North, EH5 2XS)
Hourly Umbrella Rate: £65/hr (37 hours per week)

Role Overview
As a Principal RF Engineer, you will contribute your expertise to the full hardware lifecycle of advanced RF and microwave systems. This includes concept, design, prototyping, testing, integration, and production support. You’ll work with the latest RF, PCB, and module design technologies, collaborating closely with systems, test, and electronics engineers to solve complex integration challenges.

Key Responsibilities
- Hardware Lifecycle Development: Oversee system design, prototyping, testing, and support.
- High-Quality Design: Conduct design reviews, ensure detailed documentation, and maintain configuration management.
- Test & Validation: Design and test prototypes, validate models, and support production testing.
- Data Pack Preparation: Create manufacturing data packs and provide technical support to subcontractors.
- RF & Microwave Engineering: Expertise in RF Microwave Sub-System and synthesizer design (DDS, PLL).
- PCB & Module Design: Skilled in microwave PCB materials, schematic capture tools (Mentor), and non-linear circuit simulation.
- Simulation Tools: Proficient in microwave design and simulation tools (AWR, VSS, ADS, SystemVue, CST).
- Measurement Techniques: Experience in signal generation, spectrum analysis, vector network analysis, and low-phase noise measurement.
