Client: BAE Systems
Location: Scotstoun, Glasgow
Hourly Rates: £27.73 PAYE or £36.59 Umbrella
Duration: 12 month contract
Working Arrangements: Hybrid working: 1-2 days per week

You’ll work closely with a team of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring that all systems meet technical standards, are operationally sound, and align with BAE’s commitment to safety and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead design input and provide assurance for auxiliary systems, including fluid systems, hydraulics, POL (petroleum, oils, and lubricants), and water and waste management.
- Conduct in-depth technical investigations and propose solutions to optimize performance and resolve design issues.
- Oversee integration of equipment into ship design, addressing critical factors like noise, reliability, and operability.
- Support the development of SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) in the auxiliary systems sub-discipline.
- 5+ years experience in Marine Engineering, specifically within Auxiliary Systems for naval ships.
- Knowledge of system design, including fluid modelling, hydraulics, POL, and waste management systems.
- Understands integration of auxiliary systems into broader ship design, with awareness of lifecycle management, build strategies, and industry advancements.
- Degree in engineering or a related discipline (preferred); eligibility for Incorporated Engineer registration.
