Join Our Client as a Project Engineering Manager!

Who We Are Looking For:
As part of our Digital First Supply Chain Strategy, we seek a visionary leader who thrives in cross-functional environments. You will be instrumental in building a state-of-the-art Distribution Centre that embodies automation, efficiency, and iconic design, working alongside process and construction teams to bring this ambitious vision to life.

What You’ll Work On:
  • Lead Project Execution: Oversee the entire project process from detailed design through to completion and acceptance, ensuring a seamless handover for the new DC.
  • Drive Automation Solutions: Own the implementation of optimal material handling solutions, leveraging your deep understanding of automation (mechanical, electrical, and controls).
  • Manage Vendor Relations: Lead all aspects of automation and material handling equipment (MHE) projects, managing vendors, contracts, and compliance with Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations.
  • Ensure Integration: Utilise your strong communication skills and attention to detail to ensure successful integration of designs, planning, and installations with other MHE Automation projects.
  • Achieve Results: Engage with internal and external partners to achieve strong outcomes while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
Who You’ll Work With:
You will be part of the Process & MHE team, reporting to the Process and MHE Director for the UK DC Program. Collaborate with a skilled team that includes Project Engineers, a data modeller, an Automation SME, and a CAD technician, while sharing best practices with the wider Distribution Build team across our European logistics sites.

What You Bring:
  • Engineering Expertise: A professional qualification in engineering or equivalent experience, with familiarity in all aspects of automation.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience in independently leading technical projects, specifically managing projects over £80 million in highly automated environments.
  • Market Insight: Knowledge of current trends in the material handling equipment market to create flexible and scalable logistics solutions.
  • Team Player: A strong affinity for teamwork and collaboration in a dynamic setting.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills, with a drive for results and a positive, high-performance attitude.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal settings.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical installation norms and regulations.
