Salary: £70,000 - £75,000
Bonus: 10% Annual

Location: Fully Remote (with expensed travel to sites)
We are looking to talk with an OT Cyber Security Engineer to ensure the cybersecurity of operational technology (OT) systems. This role will lead on OT-related cyber security compliance, risk management, and collaborate with IT teams to safeguard OT environments. The position reports to the OT Manager and is key in supporting the NWE region’s cybersecurity initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OT systems, conducting security assessments, and managing incident response. You should be able to collaborate effectively across multiple teams, report to management on security issues, and deliver training to promote cybersecurity awareness. A proactive, solution-oriented approach is essential, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities, recommend security improvements, and ensure the integrity of OT networks. Additionally, a strong awareness of emerging cybersecurity trends and innovations in OT technology is important for staying ahead of evolving security challenges.

Experience required:
- Implement and enforce OT cyber security policies, ensuring alignment with standards (ISO27001, NIST, ISA99/IEC62443).
- 5-10 years in IT/OT security roles, with expertise in industrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC).
- Experience with security standards (ISO27001, NIST, NCSC CAF) and risk management in OT systems.
- Knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA systems and industrial hardware/software.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GICSP).
- Strong experience in identifying and mitigating risks in OT environments
