Compensation: £450-£600 per day- Inside IR35
About the Role
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Technical Accountant to support critical reporting and audit requirements for the year-end process. This role will focus on completing and documenting all Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) evidence required by auditors.
The successful candidate may also contribute to statutory accounts preparation and support the external audit process. Responsibilities will be divided between acquisition-related costs and underlying (budgeted) costs, depending on the specific tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and document PPA evidence required for timely and accurate year-end reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather, analyse, and present financial data in alignment with audit requirements.
- Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, including IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Address technical accounting issues and recommend process improvements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment between audit requirements and reporting timelines.
- Extensive experience as a Technical Accountant, with expertise in PPA documentation and statutory reporting.
- Familiarity with IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards.
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
- Proven ability to manage and support external audit processes, with exposure to leading auditing firms.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
