BAE Systems is looking for multiple skilled FORAN Designers to join the Engineering team within their Naval Ships business unit. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering top-tier design solutions for complex maritime projects, contributing to the success of the Canadian Surface Combatant programme

Key Responsibilities
- Provide innovative and robust design solutions that meet the project’s intent and lifecycle requirements.
- Conduct and validate both self and peer reviews of engineering outputs, including Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring all designs meet approval processes.
- Mentor and guide junior designers and trainees, helping to foster early career growth.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that design outputs are of the highest quality and compliant with industry standards.
- Maintain schedule commitments and assist in coordinating workloads when necessary.
Skills & Experience
- Strong background in engineering or a technical role, particularly in naval/marine projects.
- Extensive experience with Detail Design tools, standards, and best practices.
- Proven ability to interpret, review, and validate technical drawings and documents.
- Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
- Capable of working autonomously while also collaborating seamlessly within a team environment
