Naval Design Engineer - BAE Systems
Location: Scotstoun (On-site 1-2 days per week)
Rate: £37.69 PAYE or £50.77 Umbrella
Duration: 6 months
BAE Systems is seeking a Naval Design Engineer to support our engineering team in developing and reviewing engineering drawings at Stage 1 of the design process. This role is focused on interface and integration, moving design concepts forward and ensuring seamless collaboration with suppliers and detail design teams.
Produce Layout Drawings for Aviation compartments for review by stakeholders and to allow Stage 2 to correctly model these spaces.

Key Requirements:
- Stage 1 engineering experience – taking initial designs to the next stage.
- Experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
- Outfit Engineer
- Layout Engineer
- Auxiliaries Engineer
- Mechanical Engineer
- Strong understanding of ship, marine (preferred), and naval engineering.
- Experience working with suppliers and detail design teams.
- Ability to review and refine engineering drawings.
- Chartered or IENG status is not required, but engineering expertise is essential.
- This is not a detail design role – we need a Stage 1 Engineer focused on integration and interfaces.
