Health and Safety Advisor
Saffron Walden, Essex
Hybrid working - 3 days in the office

Monday to Friday - standard office hours 
£40,000 - £47,500 plus bonus and benefits

A Health and Safety Advisor is wanted permanently by a global client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry, and continuing to grow rapidly. The successful candidate will be responsible for scrutinising and agreeing third party works application documents, including work RAM’s, whilst seeking the resolution of Pipeline related issues. Furthermore, this individual will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary Pipeline Monitoring and Surveillance activities are undertaken to keep the pipeline safe.

This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £40,000 - £47,500 (dependent upon experience and qualifications) plus bonus, and benefits.

Overview of the Health and Safety Advisor role:
  • Take a lead role in the resolution of Pipeline infringement issues via legal process, and deal with planning and pipeline diversion issues linked to third-party requirements
  • Be proactive in supporting the Pipeline Team and other stakeholders to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient operation and protection of the pipeline system.
  • Be responsible for the effective coordination and tasking of the Pipeline resource to ensure that all departmental workflows on the Third-Party Enquiry System and other work process’ are kept up to date.
Key skills and qualifications required for the Health and Safety Advisor role:
  • Solid experience in managing or working in a construction and/or operations industry dealing with Safe Systems of Work.
  • Previous experience in Risk Assessment and Method Statement writing would be essential.
  • Managing safety around underground asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of CDM and the Health and Safety at Work Act would be beneficial
